There’s something magical about being fully immersed in the Disney bubble, but after decades of Walt Disney World vacations, I’ve learned that sometimes you want the magic with a little bit of the real world mixed in. After all, when you’ve put in 30,000 steps, there’s just something special about staying at a resort that offers room service. That balance is one of the biggest reasons the Walt Disney World Swan, Dolphin, and Swan Reserve are some of my favorite places to stay on Disney property.
Located on Disney property but operated by Marriott, the trio sits in a sweet spot that many Disney travelers overlook entirely. Guests get Disney perks like early theme park entry, complimentary transportation, and walking access to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, while also enjoying amenities that Disney-owned hotels simply don’t offer. Think loyalty program benefits, elevated dining, extensive amenities, and conveniences such as room service, late-night dining options, and an on-site spa.
After staying at the resorts more than a dozen times over the years, I’ve come to think of them as one of the best value plays at Walt Disney World, especially for travelers who want Deluxe-level benefits for a lower price tag.
