BREAKING NEWS; After Adrian Newey’s departure, Jos Verstappen gives a strong warning to Red Bull and his son Max.

Jos Verstappen has warned Red Bull that they are in great danger following the revelation that Adrian Newey would depart in 2025. Verstappen, the father of ace Red Bull driver Max, has recently criticized Christian Horner’s leadership.

Red Bull will say farewell to long-time technology leader Newey in the early months of 2025. The 65-year-old, who has contributed to Verstappen Jnr’s success in recent years, has been linked with a move to Ferrari, where he would team up with Lewis Hamilton next year.

After major regulatory changes were implemented at the beginning of 2022, Newey’s expertise of aerodynamics propelled Red Bull ahead of its competitors. However, he will go with decades of expertise, dealing a significant damage to the Milton Keynes-based team.

Following Newey’s departure, Verstappen has cautioned Red Bull that they risk ‘coming apart’ and must retain important individuals in order to maintain their Formula One domination. He referred to earlier this year’s claims that technical advisor Helmut Marko was on the verge of quitting.

“The squad is in risk of disbanding. I was already terrified of it earlier this year. It is critical for internal harmony that the essential people stay on board,” Verstappen told De Telegraaf.

That is not the situation now. Newey is going, and early this year, it appeared that Helmut may be sent away. That’s not good for the future.”

Horner recruited Newey to Red Bull over 20 years ago, abandoning McLaren, where he had established himself as one of the sport’s best technicians. During that period, the tandem has supervised driver crowns, with Verstappen and Sebastian Vettel dominating at time.
