RAZORBACKS ROAR TO OMAHA! Arkansas Overwhelms Tennessee 11–4 in Dominant Super Regional Display — Could This Be the Boldest Statement in College Baseball This Year?

The Arkansas Razorbacks are on their way back to Omaha, and they made sure everyone knew it with an emphatic 11–4 win over Tennessee in the Super Regionals. The team combined explosive offense with strong pitching to secure their spot in the College World Series, sending a loud warning to every contender: the Omahogs are back and more dangerous than ever.

This wasn’t just a win — it was Arkansas reclaiming its identity. Following a rocky stretch late in the season that left some fans and analysts doubting their potential, head coach Dave Van Horn’s team delivered a resounding response. With aggressive hitting, slick fielding, and undeniable swagger, they tore through one of the SEC’s toughest opponents.

The tone was set in the very first inning. Peyton Holt and Kendall Diggs sparked the attack with back-to-back hits, and slugger Jared Wegner delivered a three-run home run that silenced the Tennessee crowd and gave Arkansas an early edge they would never relinquish.

On the mound, freshman pitcher Hagen Smith delivered his finest outing to date. The lefty mixed high-octane fastballs with a devastating slider, holding Tennessee’s offense in check. Over six masterful innings, Smith struck out eight and rarely found himself in trouble, showcasing poise beyond his years.

Offensively, Arkansas was relentless. The Razorbacks racked up 15 hits, with six different players collecting multiple base knocks. Wegner led the way with four RBIs, but it was a full team performance — a mix of power, speed, and smart decisions on the bases. Whenever the Volunteers threatened to mount a comeback, Arkansas answered with more runs and more energy.

The blowout victory did more than just secure a CWS berth. It reasserted Arkansas as a national powerhouse and reminded everyone that this team, when locked in, can beat anyone. After years of near-misses and heartbreak in Omaha, these Razorbacks look determined to change the narrative.

Tennessee, who had been one of the SEC’s most dominant squads all season, couldn’t find their rhythm. Their pitching faltered early, and their offense never managed to break through against Arkansas’ mix of power arms and airtight defense.

When the final out was recorded and the Hogs rushed the field, it was more than a celebration. It was a statement. One of resilience, redemption, and renewed belief. This group isn’t just happy to be heading back to college baseball’s biggest stage — they’re going with the full intention of winning it.

The College World Series now features one of its most electric teams — a program hungry for a title and packed with talent. The Razorbacks have the pitching, the bats, and the experience to make a serious run. They’ve felt the sting of falling short before, and that memory is driving them harder than ever.
