The Buffalo Bills were thought to need another wide receiver for Josh Allen, and much like general manager Brandon Beane, we didn’t understand the need.l

Heading into the NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills had clear defensive needs, which they addressed, but one that didn’t necessarily to the extent many had hoped for was at receiver.

In the lead-up to the draft, we heard several outlets make the case for the Bills to add another weapon for Josh Allen, which we felt, at the time, considering the weapons already on the roster, could be seen as a luxury pick.

Now comes general manager Brandon Beane’s explosive comments on radio on the pushback over Buffalo not drafting another stud receiver for Allen. … and much more.

“Well, you guys were (expletive) in 2018 about Josh Allen you guys wanted Josh Rosen, and now you guys ar (expletive) that we don’t have a receiver,” Beane said. “We just scored 30 points in a row for eight straight games. A year ago, I get you guys asking why we didn’t have receivers, but I don’t understand it now. You just saw us lead the league in points, when you add all the postseason, no one scored more points than the Buffalo Bills, including the Super Bowl champions. So, you just saw us do it without  same group. How is this group not better than last year’s group? Our job is to score points and win games. Where do we need to get better? Defense. We did that.

a nod to what the Lions went through just a couple years ago. From league-wide afterthoughts to division champions and a 15–2 record in 2024, the Lions proved that tough lessons now can lead to greatness later.
